Space Topic

Over the last couple of weeks we have been doing our space topic. We had to do a range of activity's  to complete and some was a report on our favourite planet and a biography of the Apollo 11 Crew and about the people on it and a couple of other things. We also had to do a presentation on a planet of our own choice. I picked Jupiter because I had already learned some things about it when I had written my report. My favourite thing about Jupiter is its great red spot because it is a unique thing about Jupiter and one of a kind.

Chocolate Bar Graph

Last week for Maths we had to create 2 graphs in our books and get the whole class to choose their favourite option. We had to move our data onto a spreadsheet on our chrome books. We had to pick a topic and explain and show our charts in 2 ways. I decided to do chocolate bar. My highest vote was Crunchie bar with 10 votes and the least liked one is Dairy Milk with 1 vote.

Wearable Arts 2017 - Blooming Blossoms

 

 This year for Wearable Arts Yana, Mackenzie and me are in a group called Blooming Blossoms. The festival we chose was the Cherry Blossom Festival because we though it would be a fun and cool to do. The Cherry Blossom Festival is usually held on the 20th March - 15th April in Japan. We made the flowers on the dress are made out of tissue paper and card. The tissue paper flowers are the light purple and the red and we just pinched the middle of them and twisted them to the flower shape. For the card we followed some instructions to make them and shape them. The thing that did not work well for our group was teamwork because people were never here to help create it.

This week we are working on Perimeter, Area and Volume. We have done this is term 1 and this is just a recap. Me and Haylee have been working on this together. This is the finished product

Probability Work Book

Every week we have to complete a work book. The work book is focused on what topic we are doing for the week. This week we are focusing on Probability again. We have to read through the links and complete the tasks.

Probability Work Book

This week we have been learning probability. We have a work book we have to complete and a couple of pages of activities. The first 2 pages you just have to read some writing about probability. The next two pages have actives on them you have to complete in the week. The other activities we had to do were on a doc and it had tallies on it that had things about money and dice. We had to throw a coin and see if it would land on heads or tails and write down how many times it landed on one side. 

Origami Heart

The next couple of weeks for reading we have nine things we have to complete. This is one of the things that we have to do. We have to follow some instructions to make the heart. We could choose what paper and what color and size we can make it out of.
